I want more power

Im not saying the 1000r is slow and doesn't have power, but I want more and I'm looking at my options. I know Yamaha has a turbo kit for these models, so I was wondering if anyone here has it installed? If not, what other options are there?

I've looked into a few turbo kits too, GYTR and DLP both seem solid. Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but if you're chasing more power, they're worth a look. Let me know what you end up going with

The Yamaha turbo kit's a good move if you want more juice, but you could also check out superchargers or tuning kits but if you want reliable power, that turbo's your best bet

Yeah, Yamaha does have a turbo kit, and from what I've heard it really wakes those things up! you could also look into supercharger kits, KraftWerks makes one for the YXZ

If you're looking for more power, I suggest going for a custom turbo kit. You'll want to upgrade your engine internals, add an intercooler, and use a Power Commander V for tuning. Don't forget that cooling modifications are also important

The GYTR turbo kit is a solid option for boosting your YXZ1000R, but some folks say it needs an ECU flash for better low end performance. Weller and Alba also offer turbo kits, Weller's is known for reliability, and Alba's can push up to 350 HP with engine mods. Study your options well. Good luck!

my friend uses supercharger kits, look up for KraftWerks, makes a supercharger for the YXZ, offering linear power gains.
