S&B particle separator mounting, what works best

I'm getting ready to install an S&B particle separator on my YXZ and wanted to get some real world advice before I start drilling or fabricating. There are a few mounting options out there, cage, bed, rear panel but each seems to have its pros and cons depending on airflow, noise, and trail conditions. If you've done the install, please, what worked best for you?

Bro, the best mounting for you depends on yourself and what you need.
you want something stylish, pick rear panels. You want large storage, pick a bed extension. you want more safety, pick the cage.

For the S&B, cage mounts up high seem popular for cleaner airflow and less noise in the cab. .

Lots of people like the upper cage. it keeps it out of the way and snags cleaner air. Just make sure your roof doesn't block it.

Ok I'll just sum it up real quickly since they already said their bits too. Cage mount offers you the best airflow and keeps it high and dry! But the problem is, noisyyy. Just like @10Continents here pointed out. Bed mount is an easier install with less noise, but if you're sensitive to dust you wouldn't like this. The rear has decent airflow and relatively quiet but might be harder to install. Up to you to decide what you're willing to experience.

The S&B particle separator works best when you mount it on the cage. You'll get better airflow and performanc that way, but it does make more noise and is more exposed. If you mount it in the bed or on the rear panel, it'll be quieter and cleaner, but you might lose a little airflow and need to do some extra work to get it set up

If you want the best power, go for the cage. If you prefer a quieteer setup, go with the bed or rear panel

Little tip about rear panel, its a decent middle ground, but can get clogged easier if youre in tight or muddy trails. Just make sure whatever option you go with doesn't restrict the intake or interfere with your cargo.
