My friend got this used YXZ1000R rear differential model 2016 that I've been looking for months.

He wants to sell it for $850, it's in great shape, but is it really worth that much? Bcs it's used, I thought it could be much cheaper.

Tell me what you think guys!

$850 isn't a bad deal since as you said, it's in great shape. And it's not always you'll come by a USED YXZ in great condition because these bad boys are made for heavy-duty hardcore riding. New ones are worth like $1500 or something and you know, if he has mods, he might even be lucky to sell it to you for $1000. Hahaha just accept the offer man. And just make sure your friend is legit and not a scam.

If it's in great shape and exactly what you've been looking for, $850 isn't terrible, YXZ1000R parts hold their value, so it's probably a fair price for a used diff

Hmm, 850 might still be steep but I guess if it's what you're looking for, you could stay at that price right? It's a good steal. But since that's your friend, you may be able to haggle a little bit so long as it remains humane. You know what I mean.

if it's well maintained and not tortured, the price isn't all that bad. Consider this, 500-600 bucks are units that were grenaded by the previous owner, so if you ask me 850 isn't' too bad for a diff that is in good condition.

If its not worn out and there's no metal shavings or whining, its probably worth it, especially if you've been hunting one for a while.
