YXZ Sport shift reliable long term?

A common friend of mine is migrating out of the country and wants to sell me his 2020 Sport shift with abot 3k miles on it for a really tempting price considering its condition. I'm often on deserts and mountain roads with my bike and an midly off-road built Toyota 4runner. The only bother is the shifting controlled by solonoids, it gives me thoughts about its durability. Thoughts?

If the price is right, 3k miles is a steal but yeah, solenoid shifting gives me pause too. Desert and mountain abuse isn't easy at all so If the setup is known to hold up, go for it. If not, might be more trouble than it's worth.

My concern would be the potential for shifting issues if the solenoid system experiences wear over time, especially with frequent off-road use. It might be worth getting a mechanic's opinion on its durability for the kind of terrain you plan to tackle

Sport shift setup is actually pretty reliable overall, Yamaha has been using that system for a while, the solenoids can be a weak point eventually, but they don't fail often unless they meet water or messed up with mud and for the kind of terrain you're on, it should handle it fine as long as you stay on top of maintenance
