Stator torque specs after water damage

I kinda messed up my 2017 ride by taking it through some crazy deep water and ended up frying the stator. Just got the replacement part, and I'm ready to get it installed. Anyone know what the torque specs are for the stator bolts and the cover? This is my first time doing this, so any help would be awesome
 
Can't say I know the specs by heart, but I'm assuming you're looking at 6-7 lb ft for the stator and a few more for the cover. Have you tried to find a repair manual? The specs should be there.
 
My bro helped to torque mine to 7 ft lbs on both the stator and cover and no leaks or issues since. Just take your time with the gasket and wire routing, you'll be fine.

sorry to hear about the deep water adventure.. im also guilty of putting so much confidence and fun on this machine!! afaik.. the stator bolts are at 10nm and the cover bolts are 12nm, but it's better to check your service manual for the exact specs. if you dont have one, you can usually find a pdf version online or sometimes even on parts diagram on sites like partzilla. hope you'll be back on the trails in no time!!
 
That lines up with what most guys see. 10 Nm for the stator and around 12 Nm for the cover is the common spec. Biggest thing is even the torque and clean gasket surfaces.
