replacing stator on my 2016 yxz torque specs and a couple notes

I'm in the process of swapping out the stator on my 2016 Yamaha YXZ1000R after it threw a code 12. The torque specs for the stator bolts are 7.2 ft-lbs, and I'll be using blue Loctite for that. For the stator cover bolts, they need to be torqued to 9 ft-lbs, also with blue Loctite. I'm opting for a Mad Hornet replacement, so I'll double-check that everything lines up correctly before tightening it all down. I'll also ensure that the new seal sits properly to prevent any oil leaks. Fingers crossed this solves the code issue and gets me back out on the trail

Been there with stator swaps! Blue Loctite is your friend. Just make sure those threads are clean before you apply it
 
With the new stator and Loctite, you should be set, I hope it clears up that code and gets you back on the trails soon

Good luck! Nice to read this one, it's very laid-out and I see you know what you're doing here anyway. We might even learn a thing or two from you.
 
Mad Hornet makes brilliant stators, so that's a good choice, code 12 is pretty common with stator failures though, so replacing it should clear that up
