recluse install issue

I'm stuck installing my rekluse auto cluch with an alba pack and tw oil mod on my 2019 YXZ1000R SS..
The rekluse manual said 9 frictions/9 steels, but I have zero slave cylinder gap even fully adjusted in. Ball bearing is there.
But the tw instructions said 9 frictions/8 steels. Removing one steel lets me set the 1mm gap, but puts a friction plate against the exp disc..
It seems the 9/9 setup is too thick so I'm leaning towards the 9/8 to get the gap.
Anyone encountered something similar?

You're doing everything right, just don't forget that the EXP disc isn't directly contacting a friction plate and that can cause some issues.

I've seen similar issues with Rekluse setups, if removing a steel plate gives you the correct gap but causes interference, the 9/8 setup might be the way to go.

Rekluse says 9/9, but that's assuming everything else is stock but once you throw in something like the Alba and TW mod, the stack height tolerance shifts just enough to throw off the whole thing.
Going 9/8 might help you get the gap, yeah, but having a friction plate riding the EXP isn't ideal either cos it can wear unevenly over time and will most likely will

Agreed. I hope OP doesn't miss out on this. It's something a lot of people overlook and then end up causing a lot of problems later on.
