How to fix forward and reverse shifting?

Just got into the side by side world with a '19 Yamaha YXZ 1000R SS SE featuring beadlock wheels, a GYTR turbo kit and FOX QS3 shocks. It's running great in neutral but in forward/reverse it feels like they're playing tag. Could it be an actuator alignment issue or something related to the clutch setup? Let me know your thoughts!

could probably be an actuator alignment issue, might not be fully engaging, then check the clutch tuning, that turbo adds torque and could be messing with the stock setup.

i hope i'm not so late.. i think the issue points to a problem with the yamaha chip controlled shift system but sure you can benefit from calibrating the actuator or adjusting the clutch settings.. you can also check if some of the components have unusual wear or damage

Update. Turns out the issue was with the chip-controlled shift system, just like you mentioned @d_n3vaaa
A calibration on the actuator and some clutch adjustments got it back to smooth operation. Appreciate the advice, definitely helped point me in the right direction

She's running like a top now. Thanks for following up. The calibration and adjustment did the trick, so it's time to go make some dust!

My friend's quad did the same thing. We thought it was the clutch, but it also needed the shifter fixed. Once we got it right, it was a total change. Glad yours is working now, go have some fun

Always good to hear when someone else has navigated a similar issue. Your friend's quad problem sounds very familiar. I've been able to get the YXZ out on the trails a few times since getting it sorted. The machine has been an absolute blast to drive with the shifting all dialed in now.
