Firing up my 2019 YXZ after 5 years

I was working on a few upgrades on my 2019 Yamaha YXZ1000R in 2020 but the pandemic happened, and you know activities had to sop and priorities changed.. I got it stored in a climate-controlled storage facility and now I'm thinking of firing it up back to life. However, I'm concerned about the engine oil having completely drained away from the internal rotating parts after sitting for almost 5 years.. This is especially on my mind with the dry sump system which I'm not super familiar with, aside from the fact I haven't worked on this for a long time. Does anyone know if there's a way to externally prime the oil pump before I crank the engine over for the first time in ages? What other things should I attend to first? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated! I want to make sure I do this right after so many years!

With the dry sump, you can pull the spark plugs and crank it over to build oil pressure before starting, so yeah fresh oil, new filters, and fuel system cleaning are smart first steps

Sure, you can crank it to build pressure, but after 5 years, that oil is done and you'll probably need to change it anyway. While you're at it you might as well check everything else before starting is, fuel, bels, lines, everything that you need to have a healthy running engine. You should check the brakes as well, 5 years is a lot for hte bike to be sitting, so they might be seazed.

I think storing a machine for years without periodically rotating the engine is asking for internal damage, climate-controlled or not, dry sumps don't magically protect against metal-to-metal contact after that long.
