2022 Yamaha YXZ1000R throttle body trouble

Hello YXZ crew! I just had a wild ride with my 2022 Yamaha YXZ1000R!

My YXZ started throwing code 026, running super rough, no power. After messing with plugs, my wife spotted it: a HUGE flame from the top of the motor! Turns out, the throttle bodies were completely popped off!

Got the Y.E.S. warranty, so the dealer's on it. But you bet I'm getting those Weller lockdown brackets for cheap insurance.

Seriously, Yamaha should have their own lockdown kit, or at least include a damn fire extinguisher! Anyone else seen this happen?

man, that's just insane!! good that you and your wife are okay and that the y.e.s. warranty is covering the repairs! i don't think it's common, but throttle body issues, especially with aftermarket tunes or hard hits, have definitely been reported on the yxzs.. hopefully the dealer gets this sorted quickly!!

Crazy. That's just CRAZY man. I would never wish it on anyone, not even my worst enemy. It's super dangerous.
